Residents claimed a military Y-12 aircraft dropped a bomb on Myohaung village in southern Kawkareik township in Karen State on April 18, killing a monk and injuring four civilians.

Earlier on April 12, a woman was also killed when the military column randomly opened fire at residents in nearby Ywar Thit village.

"Their Y-12 and scout aircrafts flew all day over Kawkareik and Myawaddy since April 12,"said a resident.

The military forces conducted offensives and fired their guns at random in the villages.

Currently, the military column has been spotted near Tantaku village.

Sources said the column is planning to march to Dawna mountain from Tantaku village and then travel to Thingannyinaung and Myawaddy, which has been seized by junta forces.
