During this week, the allied defense forces seize more towns
During the past week anti-junta resistance forces took control of two more town as it intensifies attacks against junta forces.
The latest towns, which become under the resistance forces control, are Shwe Pyi Aye close to the India-Myanmar border in Sagaing region and Rezua town in Chin State. Shwe Pyi Aye was allegedly seized on Tuesday and Rezua was seized on Wednesday.
The junta forces are still trying to regain control of the towns.
At present three towns in Sagaing have been seized by allied resistance force, while Chinland revolutionary forces have occupied seven towns.
The Brotherhood allied forces occupied strategic places
The northern Brotherhood forces under 1027 operation have seized one more border trade gate and several strategic outposts of military forces.
The Kyin San Kyawt gate in Muse town which borders with China have been seized by northern allied forces earlier in the week.
Moreover, the biggest military outpost in Konkyan located in Kokant special district zone was seized too by allied resistance forces.
The allied forces reconstituted the administrative body in Pan Hseng city and directed officials to reopen the schools and markets.
Three Chinese vessels arrived Myanmar
As the clashes intensified in northern Shan state, three Chinese vessels carrying around 700 sailors arrived in Yangon on Monday.
Some analysts said the arrival of vessels was to show the good relations between China and Myanmar amid accusations China is supporting the northern alliances, which are fighting the junta. The three Chinese vessels conducted naval drills on Friday.
People in Yangon marched protests
The vanishing protests of the people in Yangon against the junta re-emerges again with a wildcat strike in North Dagon township held on November 25 and led by youth strike leader Ko Nan Lin.
A day after that strike, junta troops destroyed the stalls in the market and warned sellers they would burn their stalls if they continue plying their trade.
Former information minister U Ye Htut sentenced to 10 years in prison
Former information minister U Ye Htut was sentenced to 10 years in prison by an Insein special court after he was found guilty of incitement and defamation.
The charges stemmed from some articles and stories he wrote that allegedly incite and defame the military and the SAC. He was found guilty of violating the Section 505 (a) and Section 124 (d) of the information
U Ye Htut was the government spokesperson and minister of information under the military-backed U Thein Sein regime that lost to the Aung San Suu Kyi-led National League for Democracy Party during the 2015 parliamentary elections.
One party chairman was killed in Yangon
U Than Tun, the chairman of the New National Democracy Party (NNDP), that was founded by retired and former military officers was killed in Ngamoyeik township in Yangon.
The Ngamoyeik mission network claimed responsibility for the attack accusing U Than Tun of openly supporting the atrocities committed by the junta against the people of Myanmar.
The NNDP party was among the 30 political parties, whose representatives and leaders met with chief-in-commander Min Aung Hlaing a few months before the military takeover.
Two Shan ethnic armed groups agree on ceasefire
The Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) and the Shan State Progressive Party (SSPP) agreed to a ceasefire deal, ending several years of violence between the two armed ethnic groups in Shan State.
The leaders of the two groups said they agree to a cessation of hostilities amid the clamor of the Shan people. The two groups also agreed to their prisoners of war.
They will continue to hold discussions in order to build trust and settle their territorial disputes.
