The Progressive Karenni People Force (PKPF) stated that a total of 457 civilians in Karenni state have been killed after the military coup in February 2021 until December 2023.

 

A total of 449 civilians were killed as of November 2023 in Karenni state and eight others were killed in December.

 

Among those killed, 147 were killed while living in refugee camps. Another 150 civilians have been arrested so far.

 

There were 936 clashes between junta and resistance forces in Karenni state since the coup started. The junta forces conducted 984 air strikes.

 

PKPF added that 439 fighters of Karenni National Defense Force, Karenni Army and People's Defense Forces and 2,848 military personnel from the junta troops were killed during those clashes.

 

Some 46 religious buildings, 2281 homes, 14 hospitals and clinics as well as 22 schools were destroyed since the junta took over government.
