All corruption charges as former state chancellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and former president U win Myint would be decided by Friday, according to sources close to Nay Pyi Taw court.

One corruption charge against Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and U Win Myint stemmed from the hiring of a helicopter that were allegedly used for natural disaster protection.

Another five corruption cases against the two former Myanmar leaders involved alleged losses in the State Fund due to unlawful procedure in hiring, buying and maintaining a helicopter.

The lawyers from both sides presented their final arguments during yesterday's trial and the judge said he would issue his verdict on December 30.

The 78-year-old Aung San Suu Kyi has already received a total of 26 years imprisonment for 14 cases after the military coup and the corruption charges were the last ones filed by the junta.

The sources claimed Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and U Win Myint attended the December 26 trial and both of them appeared to be in good health.
