The Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) stated that the remaining military personnel from two battalions: Light Infantry Battalion 425 and 6, under Division 66 surrendered during the third and fourth days of the Operation 1111 in Karenni state.

 

It claimed that nearly the entire battalion of LIB 425 including the battalion commander and deputy battalion commander that were deployed inside the compound of Loikaw University were killed while nearly half of LIB 6 were defeated by the Karenni resistance forces on November 13, during the third day of Operation 1111.

 

Led by Company Commander Kaung Myat Ko from LIB 6, a total of 32 military personnel surrendered on November 14, the fourth day of the Operation.

 

It said more than 110 military personnel including high-ranking officers were killed during the operation that attacked the military forces deployed at Loikaw university. It also arrested 38 military personnel as prisoners of war and seized 128 weapons including small and large arms as well as ammunition.
