Students in Pekhon township were forced to hide after the military's jet fighter flew over the area from the morning until the evening, according to the Union of Karenni Students' Youth (UKSY).

 

A spokesperson of UKSY said the jet fighter flew four times between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

"It appears the jet was on a training mission,” the spokesperson said. “We got scared, not only the kids but also the adults because the roar of the jet engine was very loud.”

 

Students who were studying in the classrooms were forced to flee and hide due to the military's jet fighter's 30 minutes long flying time over the area at 8 a.m.

 

The Burma Army conducted an air strike and dropped bombs over the Victoria Camp, which is the headquarters of the Chin National Front at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
