At least three people were reported killed and several injured when five bombs were dropped during the airstrikes on the headquarter of the Chin National Front, a signatory of National Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), 11 days after declaring a ceasefire.
The Chin Human Rights Group said the Victoria Camp which is the headquarter of Chin National Front (CNF) in Thantlang township in Chin state was bombarded by the Burma Army air force late on Tuesday.
Five junta jet fighters participated in the attack and the exact casualties remain unknown. There were reports some bombs hit the India side of the headquarters, which straddles theMyanmar-India border, but the Burma Associated Press (BAP) could not confirm the report. The Chin National Front is an armed group that signed the National Ceasefire Agreement in 2015.
Although the junta has announced a year-long unilateral ceasefire against the NCA signatories, it has been conducted attacks on some encampments of NCA signatories.
Aside from attacking the China National Front headquarters, junta troops also attack encampments of the Karen National Organization (KNO), which is also a signatory to the NCA.
