Two women were killed in junta airstrikes in Kawkareik town, reports said.

On December 2, the junta forces’ airstrike during clashes with resistance forces in Kawkareik town killed a 55-year-old woman .

Earlier on November 30, a 28-year-old woman from Hpan Kha Kone village in southern Kawkareik was also killed by an airstrike.

"This victim was killed while cooking. Her name was Naw Mu Khi. She was from a village in southern Kawkareik. Farm animals were also injured due to the airstrike," said a source from the ground.

Currently, the clashes are intensifying in Kawkareik and the junta troops use airstrikes and fire artillery shells simultaneously to attack resistance forces.
