Junta forces arrest two journalists from local news agency

The Dawei Watch news agency reported on December 13 that two of its journalists in Myeik town were arrested at the midnight on December 11.
They were arrested without warrant and it is said their families have been told that they were arrested for covering news.
The forces also seized two computers and mobile phones of the journalists and their relatives.
The whereabouts of the two seized journalists remain unknown.
Dawei Watch said they have been detained and questioned at an interrogation camp.
According to the data from BAP, more than 60 media personnel were arrested over two years of military coup. Three journalists have been killed so far.
Eight of those arrested journalists have been sentenced up to five year in prison.
In addition, 13 publication licenses of media outlets were revoked by the junta. Some of the media outlets ceased operating due to the lack of freedom of reporting.
