Thailand Foreign affairs minister Don Pramudwinai disclosed he met with State Counselor in Nay Pyi Taw prison.
There were some disputes relating to that meeting but junta confirmed they met on 13th July. The military spokesperson General Zaw Min Tun claimed it lasted one and a half hour but cannot discussed what they discussed.
Thailand foreign affairs minister told the reporters that State Counselor was willing to meet with him. The parallel National Unity Government (NUG) government stated junta carried out that task for their interest. Thailand foreign affairs minister secretly visited Nay Pyi Taw on 9th July and he became the first diplomat that met with State Counselor after the military take over two years ago.
The extended state of emergency is about to reach 6 month. Military leader Min Aung Hlaing claimed the country is still striving for security and stability. It is no wonder that" he planned to extend the emergency period although some violent incidents reduced in numbers but they've been occurring and they need to carry out for the sake of security, stability and rule of law.
If the stability and rule of law were achieved, the junta can hold the general elections, "stated by him on military conference on 13 th July. The state of emergency was being extended for four times and about to expire in July.
After the military takeover, the political prisoners were being detained and some of them were not traced although their detention date had passed.
A family member of a worker leader said on 13th June ,"Ko Thet Hnin Aung was not released and found after his detention."
He was detained in Zaymathwe prison,Thaton and his information is not traced.He was under arrest since June ,2021 in Myawaddy,Karen state.
He had to serve two years of labor and imprisonment and 20000MMKs against Section 17(1) of violating unlawful association act.
He is the general-secretary of Myanmar Industry Crafts and Services Trade Unions Federation(MICS-TUsF) and his immediate release was also urged by International Labor Organization(ILO).
On 12th July, the central bank announced the abolishing of ten foreign currency exchange companies for not complying the rules and regulations. But they did not describe how did they violate the laws.
The revocation of licences is the action taken by executive committee. Those companies are Kannan Trading Co, Ltd၊ Net Change Co, Ltd၊ Thira Aung Si Trading Co , Ltd၊ Riverwood Group Co, Ltd၊ Global Myanmar Services Co, Ltd၊ D-Gold Trading Co, Ltd၊ Aurum Image Co, Ltd၊ Hi Welcome Travel @ Tours Co, Ltd၊ Sweeties Pearls Co, Ltd၊ Chase Travels & Tours Co, Ltd .
In March,the central bank revoked the licences of 20 money Forex companies for not following the laws and regulations.
Some private schools in Yangon have been closed due to the outbreak of bronchiolitis.
The private and government hospitals are filled with hundreds of child patients and the symptoms include coughing and illness. Moreover,some parents suspended the schools when they saw the post of one child who was died of bronchtis.
The Union Supreme court held another hearing of five corruption charges against President U Win Myint and Sate Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on 12th June.
It is the appeal of their 7 years of imprisonment and none of them attended the court. She was imposed 33 years of imprisonment against 19 alleged charges.
